Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis)

Aloe Vera has been used for improving skin conditions as the ancient Egyptians called it the “plant of immortality.” A succulent plant with rejuvenating and soothing properties, aloe vera holds many benefits for the skin. It has been used topically for thousands of years to improve skin conditions. It contains vitamins A, C, E, B1, B2, B3, B6, and B12. Aloe Vera also contains over 200 other naturally occurring nutrients such as enzymes, amino acids and sterols. Aloe gel is extracted from the leaves of the plant and when applied to the skin, softens dead skin cells leaving the skin feeling soft and smooth.

Foraha Oil (Calophyllum inophyllum)

Foraha oil is also known as Tamanu, Kamanu, and Alexandrian laurel. It is native to Africa, Asia, and the Pacific region. It has been used by centuries for its remarkable healing power. Foraha has anti-inflammatory, antibiotic and antioxidant properties. It contains three types of lipids, as well as a unique fatty acid called calophyllic acid, an antibacterial element called lactone and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent called calophyllolide.

Neem Oil (Azadirachta Indica)

Neem has been used as a medicinal herb for nearly 5,000 years. Neem has been used in the Ayurvedic tradition for thousands of years in India. Grown throughout India, the Neem tree is well known for its medicinal properties. It is often referred to as “plant with a promise”. Every part of the tree is beneficial as it contains azadirachtin compound which gives Neem its anti- bacterial, antifungal and anti-parasitic properties.

Camellia Seed Oil (Camellia oleifera)

Japanese Camellia seed oil is obtained by cold pressing seeds of the Camellia japonica flower without any chemical or heat refining. This natural plant oil contains anti-oxidants that help to revitalize and rejuvenate the hair and skin. The oil is obtained by cold pressing the seeds. For centuries it’s been used as a traditional hair conditioner. It is useful in preventing hair breakage and is quickly absorbed into the hair, without making it greasy. It can soothe dry scalps with moisture that is light and easily absorbed.

Burdock Root Extract (Arctium lappa)

It is popularly known as 'oriental ginseng' in Japan. The plant has large leaves and purple flowers resembling thistle flowers. It has been used for centuries to treat a variety of ailments. It may have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial effects. Burdock contains vitamins B complex and E, phenolic acids, quercetin and luteolin -- all powerful antioxidants.

Using topical treatments directly applied to the scalp is a remedy for fighting against itchy scalp or dandruff.

Grapefruit seed extract, tea tree oil, apple cider vinegar, flaxseed or vitamin E, garlic, oil of oregano, can either be added to regular or anti-dandruff shampoo or applied on your own to the scalp.

Further remedies for dandruff include using herbs and essential oils such as lavender, rosemary, sage, and eucalyptus.

Because itchy scalp and dandruff is such a widespread problem, it is worthwhile to consider an alternative remedy to help fight it.

Change in diet, taking a daily supplement or applying a natural substance to the scalp.

The great thing about this conditioner is that it prevents you from having dandruff plus it makes your hair look great at the same time. This conditioner is thick, so it doesn't take much to soften your hair. It smells good, and it's just wonderful. I can't wait to use it again.

What is Dandruff?

Dandruff is a skin condition that causes flakes of dead skin from the scalp to appear in the hair and on the scalp.

Dandruff is a common condition, which is marked by itching. It is not an infection and cannot spread from one person to another.

Severe dandruff is also known as Seborrheic dermatitis, a condition in which the skin becomes inflamed or flaky.

This form of dandruff is thought to be caused by a reaction to the yeast called Malassezia which is a fungus that thrives on the surface of the scalp.
